I had a training today with several other teachers.  We broke for lunch and ordinarily I would just order something at the restaurant that I found to be pretty healthy.  However, now that I'm on a strict diet to regain control of my increase in weight I packed my lunch.  The larger problem is that I look anti-social if I don't go out with the teachers.  In order to be both social and responsible with my diet I compromised by ordering a salad at the restaurant.  I opted to eat a Lean Pocket and jello once we got back to the training session.  If you're trying to achieve a weight loss eating out should be at a minimum.  I was able to enjoy hanging out with my friends, eat with everyone else, but be confident that the "heart" of my meal was healthy because I knew exactly what I was putting into my body.  Pretty much all social occasions revolve around food in some way don't they?  It definitely becomes a test of will power in situations such as these.

MONDAY

Breakfast - 

1 Fiber One Cinnamon Apple Muffin

Banana

1 cup fat-free organic milk

Snack - 

JC Cookies N' Cream Vitamin Bar

Lunch -

Grilled Chicken, Mushroom, and Spinach Lean Pocket (6g fat. 250 cal, 490mg sodium) 

sugar free jello 

DINED OUT

Garden Salad (spinach, tomatoes, cucumbers) with salsa

Snack - 

Apple

Dinner - 

JC Cookout Chicken and Baked Beans (290 cal, 6g fat, 430 mg)

Salad (spring mix, tomatoes, cranberries, fat-free feta)

2 tbsp. light balsamic

Snack - 

100 calorie pack

1 cup sugar free hot chocolate
