Today my husband and I celebrated Valentine's Day. It was really nice - we haven't been on a "date" just the two of us since before our son was born. A family friend watched him while we did lunch and a movie. We decided to go to the little "cafe" in Whole Foods Market. I LOVE it there. I wish we had one near us (although it's probably better we didn't due to cost). I can't get over all the low-fat, home grown food, and vegetarian options they have. I'm in food heaven. The only problem is the price. It's insane how much it costs to be healthy. But, I got an amazing sandwich: multi-grain bread, roast turkey, cucumber, onion, lettuce, and tomato with mustard. It was absolutely delicious! My husband got a delicious meal as well: he tried a small four-grain tofu burger and a small lentil veggie burger. We also got a side of a TON of grilled veggies. It seriously was a healthy eaters dream in there. If you have the extra funds to set aside even just a small amount of money I highly suggest shopping there. Sometimes I get my fruits and veggies from a local stand (in spring and summer) and my meals at Whole Foods (the meals are much more creative for vegetarians and healthy eaters). I opt for the fruits and veggies from local stands because they are MUCH cheaper than Whole Foods. My husband and I had such a great day together. It was beautiful and warmer than it's been in a long time! I hope all of you had a great weekend.
