Recent published studies from major universities such as Harvard and Johns Hopkins University have shown that untreated advanced gum disease can contribute to major medical problems. Examples being cardiovascular disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, neurological problems (dementia) and recently published , pancreatic cancer. Loose teeth, swollen inflamed gum that bleed easily, multible gum infections and bad breath are some of the symptoms of advanced gum disease. Extracting hopeless teeth and the infected soft tissue in most instances eliminates the gum disease. After eliminating the gum disease, the placement of dental implants will restore health, comfort, function and cosmetics. Patients that have had this treatment report that they feel much better and say that they have more energy and are not as tired as they were before treatment.
