Today I was reminded why I LOVE being an Intervention Specialist (Special Education Teacher).  After school my husband and I took care of a 16 year-old Autistic boy.  As I was leaving school today I was getting HILARIOUS texts from JB (my husband).  I was getting things such as, "He's eating a whole block of cheese - how do I stop him?, and, He's locked himself in the car and it's all my fault."  JB has never worked with special needs children and I think he finally got wind of what exactly it is that I do!  It made me laugh to read his experiences because I don't think he really knew what he was in for!  By the time I had arrived JB was winded and exhausted (but definitely still a good sport, and a great babysitter!).  However, I could tell he was relieved assistance had finally shown up.  We spent the next four and a half hours literally running all over a huge house.  We definitely got a work out!  We barely had time to go to the bathroom or even eat.  We were watching him in an environment with a large group of people and even though his Mom assured us he'd be fine as long as he was within eye sight - we didn't want to take any chances!  It calmed him to go on car rides so JB and I drove around and around.  JB and I both fell in love with him and it just reaffirmed my belief that we will be great parents someday!

As we drove around we ended up at Starbucks which was much needed because we were so tired.  Unfortunately I never got a chance to actually eat other than grabbing a handful of food here and there.  Sometimes life is just like that but I will be curious to see if that affected a change in my weight for tomorrow...

Exercise - Does running around for four and a half hours count? 



Breakfast -  

100 calorie whole wheat English Muffin

1/4 cup Break-free eggs

1 Morning Star Veggie Sausage

1 cup fat-free organic milk


Lunch - 

Jenny Craig Personal Pizza


2 tbsp. fat-free ranch

6 oz. fat-free yogurt

sugar-free jello

Snack - 


Dinner - 


2 small turkey rolls

1 wedge of pork on flat bread

3 asparagus, carrot, and artichoke veggie rolls

Snack - 

100 calorie pack
