11/29/14 Katie's Healthy Eating Journal: Monday

The first week you start back on JC they call you 3 days into it to see if you have any questions.  This was really nice because as I mentioned earlier, our first consultation with the new director was not ideal.  She was quick to rush us out, didn't not prepare us for how to handle Thanksgiving, did not explain my husband's menu or if he could substitute any foods for things he did not like.  Now in her defense, she may have assumed since I was not a "newbie" that she did not want to be repetitive.  But, this really got my husband angry because we were paying a lot of money for us both to be on the program.  I get a discount for already being a member so I get 30% off food which makes my weekly bill about 120 bucks.  However, it was $99 for my husband to join for a year and his food cost something ridiculous without a discount that brought our total last week to almost $400.  WOW.  I am jealous that he has already lost something like 7 pounds on the program but thank goodness because I can't afford for both of us to do this much longer.  It is really nice to have someone basically eating the same meals as you and being each other's support systems.  He takes it really seriously and it helps me so that I stick to the program too.  He's going to drop his 30 pounds in just a few weeks I bet.  Wouldn't it be nice if it was the same for women?!
