Most people do not realize that folic acid is a synthetic oxidized folate which may leave you vulnerable to Folate deficiency and pose potential health risks. Yet folic acid is the form of folate most commonly used in nutritional supplements. In contrast, the nutritional supplement we recommend provides 2 active, natural forms of folate, as 5-methyltetrafolate and folinic acid, that are easily absorbed and readily usable by cells for efficient support of proper methylation and DNA synthesis and repair.
