What can you do to avoid packing SO MANY calories over Thanksgiving?  I'm going to give you one tip per day until the big day...

I'm not kidding; I want pumpkin pie just like EVERYONE ELSE on Thanksgiving.  But, did you know it counts as 4 starches, a milk, and a fat?  That's insane when I only get 5 starches and 3 fats per day.  I just ate all my starches for dessert and let's be real, I want some of the straches served at dinner too.  So...I'm bringing my own pumpkin pie.  Why?  One slice of pumpkin pie can be up to 300 calories and 16g of fat.  I'm using fat-free Evaporated Milk, egg substitute and online it says that it's 193 calories and 6g of fat.  However, I am also not using a crust so this cuts the fat and calories down even more...  I bet in half so approximately 96 calories, 3.5g of fat?  I'm also bringing my own fat-free Cool Whip.  I may look strange but at least I get to enjoy the flavor without all the added fat/calorie content! 1/8 is a serving size.
